I have a 2026 Sivo Egde that seems to be running hot. We will drive it about 3 miles and the breaks start to smell hot and the cart starts to shut it's self down with more then 80 percent of battery left. The brakes seem to be engaging while driving.

First ride after delivery, brakes overheated. Strong overheating smell. Thought at first it was new burning off motor. 2nd longer ride after cooling, brakes overheated, check engine code above 350 degrees on screen and cart shut down on side road. Hour later cooled down enough to get it back home. Called service dept, he came out adjusted brakes. He said this should have been caught at factory. They know they have history of the problem. Drives better but still get temp sensor pop up on screen as high as 170 degrees. Call him back and he checked other carts they have and said they have same temp pop up on screen. He says seems normal as long as it doesn’t have check engine light on. Thanks to David who came out from dealer and fixed it on a Sunday. Will follow up with mfg hotline number. Also Need to find out also if regenerative braking can be turned off, meaning no engine braking when you let of the gas pedal. Anyone else know about this? Service manager was also unsure if it could be turned off completely.
